College is the time where so many things are happening to an individual. Aside from academic endeavors, there are parties left and right, thesis making, clubs to join, etc. The fact that you have so much freedom than in high school is also a factor to consider. Though stress is inevitable, make sure you maintain your health by doing this.
Hit Your 6-8 Of Sleep
When the world is at the palm of your hands, who needs sleep? Well, you do. If you want to maintain your wits and function at your best, having a good night’s rest is essential. Not only will it make you think clearer, it will also do wonders for your skin and face.
Do Portion Control
It is very easy to eat like there is no tomorrow when you are stressed and obsessed with your thesis. But doing that, plus stress eating will not help your situation. Instead, try to stick to the portion size that you would have normally eaten when you were at home.
Limit Alcohol Intake
It is no secret that you will be attending parties in college. Most of these celebrations come with booze and food. If you cannot help drinking, at least limit the ones that you will consume. This will save your liver and eliminate beer belly problems. Also, do not drive if you have been drinking to avoid accidents.
Keep Fruits And Veggies Handy
Cooking your own meals while living in a dorm is a bit hard, though not impossible. That is why most college students rely on fast food. But you have no excuse to skip the fruits and veggies. It needs little to no preparation before eating. Make sure that you keep some apples and banana in your stash so when you feel like eating, it will always be the healthier alternative.
Being a college student is not an excuse to be unhealthy. Just because you are busy does not mean that you have to forget about your body. Keep in mind that the fitter you are, the more things you can accomplish, so do not forget to take your vitamins.
