If you are new to yoga, it would be a nice idea if you use yoga blocks to master new poses. They are like training wheels for the new poses you would like to attempt. Jut like when you first learned to ride a bike, you use a bike that has built-in training wheels. The wheels on the side provided support to help you balance and move. Just like yoga blocks, they offer excellent support and encouragement to both beginners and advanced yogis.
