We usually hear of the benefits of garlic for the heart but what we do not know is the proper way of cooking it. There are only two important things we need to remember. First, we need to crush the garlic before cooking it and second is that we have to cook it lightly only. Do not overcook or microwave it in any instance. Crushing the garlic releases the heart-protective compounds called the thiosulfinates and cooking it lightly gives off all the good attributes of the garlic.
