Norman Steisel

If you have heard of the Crown Heights incident of NYC, then you probably have heard of Norman Steisel. He was the deputy mayor of NYC at the time that the incident occurred. Many believe that there was a cover-up on the part of the police. Those who believe this claim that the police turned the other way, and went out of their way to seriously do anything about the murderer of a Jewish person.

Like many other murders, it appears that it was a racially motivated incident. And it is likely that these types of crimes will continue. It makes no difference how much we try to stop these types of crimes; there is always someone or some group of people that are content to remain in ignorance and perpetuate crimes against humanity. And unfortunately, there are innocent people who suffer from this type of bigotry.

If someone wants to commit a crime, they will do their best to find a way around anything that is put in place to prevent such criminal actions. All we can do is to continue to fight racism and bigotry every chance that we get. We cannot be content to let the common sense that should be available to us all to prevent any suffering to individuals that are inflicted up them by evil persons or people.
