Vitamin C Insufficiency

Vitamin C is needed to boost our immune system. However, less Filipino children are eating fruits and vegetables daily because of soaring prices. Studies show that Vitamin C may reduce the risk of common colds and the incidence of pneumonia. Vitamin C helps in protecting against diseases and so we encourage the parents to give their children a diet rich in nutrients like vitamin c. Supplementation may also be necessary to meet our children's nutrient requirements.

I'm all about Vitamin C. Your body doesn't make Vitamin C, so if you don't eat enough fruits and vegetables, you should supplement. I have personally found that when I have a cold or sore throat, taking 4000 milligrams of Vitamin C will knock it out (I take 2000 mg in the morning and 2000 mg in the evening). Try it, it works!
